Course Overview

This course equips BIM practitioners with the practical skills to manage project-level implementation of IFC+SG standards in Autodesk Revit. Learners will establish ownership and coordination structures using worksets, copy/monitor, and apply Dynamo automation to streamline IFC+SG parameter population. Through guided exercises, participants will learn to prevent duplicate IFC GUIDs, maintain coordinated grids and levels across disciplines, and ensure accurate data embedding before IFC+SG export.

What you’ll learn

  • L01. The Learner can identify the sequence of CORENET X workflow with accurate reference to discipline roles and file types.

  • L02. The Learner can adhere to modelling practices to maintain unique and consistent IFC GUID for ease of element identification from Written Direction.

  • L03. The Learner can synchronize grids and levels so that all models share consistent spatial setup, coordination, and naming conventions as per architectural model.

  • L04. The Learner can automate the population of IFC+SG values across the entire BIM model, streamlining data input and improving efficiency compared to manual element-by-element entry.

  • L05. The Learner can conduct comprehensive model quality check on IFC+SG export.

  • L06. The Learner can update the Revit model and IFC exports to maintain data accuracy and relevance to organizational and regulatory objectives.

Why should I attend this Course?

  • Suitable for practitioners who are involved in preparing, coordinating, or validating Revit IFC+SG models for CORENET X regulatory submission.
