Course Overview

Bring your construction schedules to life with this hands-on course on Bentley Synchro 4D, designed for aspiring and existing BIM and Project Management Professionals who are new to 4D BIM but already familiar with 3D BIM and construction scheduling concepts. By linking 3D models to project schedules, 4D BIM allows teams to visualise construction sequencing ahead of time - identifying and mitigating clashes, safety hazards, and scheduling conflicts before they translate into costly rework, delays, or accidents on site. Through pr actical exercises, you'll build 4D models, simulate resource deployment and task durations, and create Coordinated Installation Progra mmes that align teams around a clear, visual sequence of work. You'll also learn to identify critical activities and optimise resource level ling, giving you the tools to plan smarter, communicate more effectively with stakeholders, and deliver projects with greater cost certain ty and a safer working environment.

What you’ll learn

  • LO1. Create 4D model in Bentley Synchro 4D for construction scheduling and simulation.

  • LO2. Analyse construction workflow using 4D simulations to identify potential risks and safety hazards.

  • LO3. Simulate resource deployment and task durations using animations in Synchro 4D to assess workflow requirements.

  • LO4. Create a 4D Coordinated Installation Programme, incorporating the steps and sequences as per the work procedures and construction technologies required.

  • LO5. Identify critical activities and level resources using Synchro to optimize construction workflows.

  • LO6. Create 4D simulations in Synchro of deliverables timeline and communicate work sequencing.
