Course Overview
This course is a continuation of the foundation course, "Creating an IFC+SG Model from Revit for CORENET X Submission", and is built for Architects, Engineers, Qualified Persons, and BIM Professionals ready to manage full CORENET X submission and IFC+SG compliance in Revit.
Through live demonstrations and guided exercises, you'll learn to negative cross-disciplinary submission workflows, configure export-ready Revit settings, and maintain model integrity across linked models, shared coordinates, and MEP systems — all critical to producing clean, compliant IFC exports. The course wraps up with advanced validation and troubleshooting skills, so you can catch and resolve common failure points before they delay your approvals.
What you’ll learn
![]()
LO1. Analyse CORENET X regulatory submission process, IFC+SG information and workflow requirements across disciplines, including ownerships, file exchange responsibilities and interoperability dependencies.
![]()
LO2. Implement shared coordinates, grids, levels, and alignment strategies for multi-block/ building projects to support accurate geo-referencing.
![]()
LO3. Configure regulatory submission compliant Revit and other authoring tool settings, IFC+SG mappings, translators, export setups, and parameter workflows to produce consistent & compliant IFC+SG exports.
![]()
LO4. Manage linked models, model groups, repeated units, typical levels, and IFC GUID integrity to prevent duplication, missing elements, and unstable IFC exports.
![]()
LO5. Coordinate architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing models across authoring platforms to maintain model alignment, data ownership, and continuity before IFC+SG export.
![]()
LO6. Apply advanced discipline-specific modelling requirements, including MEP system types and system names, to support accurate system-level IFC+SG data exchange.
![]()
LO7. Perform advanced pre-submission validation using schedules, authoring tool checks, automation tools, and third-party IFC validation platforms.
![]()
LO8. Diagnose and resolve IFC+SG submission issues, including geo-referencing errors, missing data, unreferenced elements, GUID issues, and known failure patterns, while determining when escalation is required.
Why should I attend this Course?
